1st Page, Straight to 2nd Page

Hello all,

Just wondering I have done a big push on my sites SEO and as soon as it gets to the first page. It goes straight to the top of the 2nd page.

This has happened a few times and I'm not how to stop this from happening.

Any help much appreciated.

In my experience it is fairly common for Google to list a page higher initially and then drop it back a few places later.
I suspect that you are either in a business area that has a lot of competitors, you have agencies or trade bodies in the listing above you, or perhaps, you still have fundamental work to do on your website, Google and Yell-type profiles.
If it is possibly the latter, deal with the shortcomings, reindex your pages in Google and elsewhere, and you will, eventually, achieve page 1.
