Hello all,
I am moving from one website to another (a small online shop with around 10 products to a large online shop with over 1500 products) and I don't want to mess up the SEO. The current small website has been around for many years and shows up at the top of google in many places.
- Both domains are hosted by GoDaddy.
- I would like all the pages from the current small website to redirect to the according pages on the new website (e.g. old home page > new home page, product x > new product x)
Would it be best to do the redirects within GoDaddy? Or should I use another platform such as CloudFlare? Or even HTACCESS??
I will be stopping the hosting for the old website - will this make any difference as the domain won't have an SSL certificate. Should I do all of the redirects to the HTTP version of the new site and let the new site redirect to HTTPS?
Sorry - I'm quite new to this particular area so I'm sorry if I'm asking for too much!
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Jonathan
