Auditor - Error - Warning Problem

Having tested my website on an ‘Auditor’ it has come up with the following:

Error – Empty title tags

railwayphotography.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/fbrfg/site.webmanifest

Warning – Empty meta description

railwayphotography.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/fbrfg/site.webmanifest

The problem is, when I look at my ‘all pages’ on Wordpress I cannot see the above page. What is it and where can I find it?

Hi, @Colin.
I checked your site with the help of a free SEO Tool but didn't see anything of this sort.

But I consulted with my mate, he suggested you can into the following path:

wp-content>uploads>fbrfg>site.webmanifest

And delete the file named site.webmanifest.

I hope this helps you. Please do let me know.

Colin, Do not delete that file. It's most likely a plugin or your theme's schema data to add a favicon to your site.

That one instance of no meta data will be fine to leave. 1 URL having a small problem like that wont cause you any problems, its a manifest file so its more likely to be a false positive from your auditing software.

Webmanifest is a JSON file that tells the browser about your Progressive Web App, so if you are using some PWA plugin so this file might belong to that plugin.

Are you using any PWA Plugin?

Below I have listed the plugins I use on my Wordpress website as I have know idea which one would be the ‘Progressive Web Apps’ (PWA).

Advanced Image Styles
All In One SEO Pack
Auto Upload Images
Autoptimize
Classic Editor
Contact Form 7
Cookie Notice
Easy WP SMTP
Favicon
FooBox Image Lightbox
FooGallery
Fullwidth Page Templates
Google XML Sitemaps
Insert Headers and Footers
Kali Forms
Menu Image
Really Simple SSL
Sassy Social Share
Simple Author Box
SMNTCS Google Webmaster Tools
Widget Context
WP Display Header

Hi @Colin, I just took a break this weekend. So, from the above-mentioned lists of the plugins none of the seems to be a PWA.

Now, you what you can do is go to the following path:
/home/domain_name/public_html/wp-content/uploads/fbrfg/

Then, find the Webmanifest file and rename it, if it does not give your site any error, then go to your site-auditor tool and check if still, you're getting the same error?

And. if on changing the file name your site does give error while running then rename it back to Webmanifest.

The plugin using that file is favicon, like i mentioned in my above comment.

There is no need to do anything with it, it won't have any sigificance to SEO. However if you really want to fix it, simply disable/remove the plugin "favicon". Then learn how to add a favicon manually to your theme header .
