Changing domains SEO questions

Hi, I'll try to be short and explicit :)

I have 2 domains, A and B, both selling the same products, although the sites are not identical. In web searches for my brand, both sites appear, A before B. I assume because A is older and has been advertised more on social media.

I've bought domain C due to its more appropriate extension (org). I would like to forward A and B to C soon, but is this wise though? Generally speaking, this is what I want in the end, when A and B will eventually expire and I will not use them anymore. BUT, isn't it better - for the sake of maybe getting more visitors before A&B expire - to build a separate site for C? And then, maybe 2 months before A&B expire, to forward them to C?

I do care about the SEO impact, but I also care about the visitors. Now both A and B have about 1000 visitors daily. Combined 2000. So if I do the forwarding now, C will get 2000, at least until Google realizes and maybe lower my rank. But if I build a site for C, then I still have for another few months the A+B visitors (2000) plus whatever C will have. And when I'll finally forward them, for a while C will get +2000 visitors.

See my confusion? I hope my scenario didn't give you much headache already :)

How would you do it?

Thank you.
