Competitor has 150,000 do follow backlinks, HOW?

Good Day,

I have been researching some competition to our business who has the number 1 ranking on Google.

When I researched them I realized they never had active social platforms, after some more digging I discovered they have 150,000 do follow backlinks.

I can only assume these are not organic and was wondering how they could possible obtain so many.

I would imagine this must be automated, wondering if anyone can help point me in teh correct direction to any automated solutions or possible any AI generated?
