Question Corrupted search results

Hi everyone, new here...
One of the sites my team is working on started showing corrupted search results all of a sudden and seemingly some japanese text started appearing.
I cannot disclose the site at this moment, but someone please tell me what this problem is and how to resolve.
appreciate the help. as per my knowledge its some sort of a malware or cloaking from another site..

Most likely hacked/infected website, contact your developers or reach out to a services company that can help you cleanse the site.

If you have to ask if it is malware or cloaking, then its doubteful you will have the knowledge to find the infection and fix the cause/vulnerabilitywithout some assistance from someone is allowed access .

A generic reply in a forum will not help unfortunatly .

I hope you're doing good. I discussed your problem with one of expert and he game me the following solution:

For fixing this hack check:

• If a new owner you don’t recognize has been added to your Search Console account, revoke their access as soon as possible.
• Check for .htaccess file of your website - You’ll need to remove the associated verification token which is typically either an HTML file on the root of your site or a dynamically generated .htaccess file mimicking an HTML file.

If you are unable to find an HTML verification token on your site, check for a rewrite rule in your .htaccess file. The rewrite rule will look similar to this:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^google(.*)\.html$ dir/file.php?google=$1 [L]
