So, what are your views on when an Admin merges a database to increase his/her forum's post count larger? Is it sort of like...cheating?

No, Zingor Forum is made up of merged databases, I see nothing wrong with it.

I find that it's cheating :unsure:
I mean, you should have your forum forge it's own history, not just use everyone else's discarded one. I only merged 1 database with promotion box, and that was from one of PB's previous versions...so it doesn't really count

It's a great way to get a forum started up. These days forums die evantually, if you merge databases it has a larger chance of becoming active.
