I have been running an ecommerce domain that comes out consistently in the top 3 of Google search for the optimum words for a specialist product.
I have just been able to secure another domain name which is much better because it contains the product name in the name of the domain. The name of the new domain is only 9 characters so its really neat.
Question is …. if I create auto redirection form the old site to the new domain, will it be detrimental to the old site's rankings because the divert will result in a 100% bounce rate?
Or is there a better way to go about using the new domain?
