Hi,
I have a scenario that I will try my best to explain and hopefully you could give me the best resolution.
I have an existing website, let's call it Site A. Site A was created with Domain Name A pointing at it. Site A has been running for several years and built up a lot of traffic. The problem with Domain Name A is that it is not our company name and instead made up of keywords we were targeting.
Now, I have acquired Domain Name B which reflects our company name and also built a more up to date responsive website version of Site A. Let's call that Site B.
What I plan to do is have Domain Name B point at my new Site B and then do some sort of redirect from Domain Name A to inform the Search Engines that the website has moved and hopefully the traffic would not be affected too badly apart from the obvious website changes.
Can anyone give me advice on the best way in which to deal with this situation please?
Thank you for your time.
