Hi. A quick question. My title tag of home page is 'Andrej Wout | Freelance SEO Consultant |' My H1 is 'i'm andrej wout' and H2 directly below is ' SEO Freelancer & Consultant'. Is it better for description in google etc for me to swap them around ie make h1 seo freelancer etc and h2 my name? Is it ok to have an H1 below an H2? The reason i ask is cos if i make the h1 seo freelancer..... its very wide and big, so bad for phones config.

thx
Andrej

Hi
First - it is not good practice to change h1 & h2 round. H tags should run in sequence.
In my view, your second suggestion is the right one. So I would go:
Generic service
Location / Geo
Your name

Like Elyman says, H tags should be sequential. You should only have one H1 tag on the page, H2 tags should be section headings, H3 for sub section headings, H4 under H3 etc.
An example would be:
  • H1: Freelance SEO Consultancy UK
    • H2: Andrej Wout SEO Consulting Services
    • H2: Why Choose Us
      • H3: Fantastic Track Record
      • H3: Over 1,000 Clients Supported
      • Noticeable Results Guaranteed
    • H2: How We Can Help You
      • H3: Web Design and Marketing Services
      • H3: On Page SEO Services
      • H3: Off Page SEO Services
Notice how I am using the headings as sections rather than to control text size?
If you want different sizes you should be using CSS rules
