How should my ‘Home’ page be written?

Like this:

Colin hopes that you all enjoy looking at these photographs as much as he had taking them.

Or this:

I hope that you all enjoy looking at these photographs as much as I had taking them.

Depends on how you want your audience to read it, there is no wrong or right way, other than perception of how you wish to come across. If you are speaking in first person it will most like come across more personal and friendly. You target audience and how you wish to be perceived should make that decision in my opinion.

Hey Colin, I have been to your site before and I would highly suggest that you write the copy in the first person. You are essentially your brand and business so anything else would feel weird in my opinion. Hope this helps!

Colin hopes that you all enjoy looking at these photographs as much as he had taking them.

Yes, absolutely. Your site is all about you and your work and I think you should own it as you and not write about yourself like you are writing about another person. In my first business, I actually pretended to be more than one person to seem like a more "legitimate" business but it becomes somewhat of a chore and also doesn't feel genuine. Therefore, I think you should put yourself forward and out there. It's a much better strategy in the long run.
