How to watch SEO progression through time

Hi.

I plan doing some SEO for our website. I have some basic experience, I have done some reading and I think I can proceed with on-site adjustments and some basic link building.

I use moz to get an idea as to here we stand.

I need to be able to tell, after some time, whether my moves yield results or not.

What is the best way to watch for progression through time? Are there any other (free) tools that can show you whether you are doing worse or better? What would you suggest?

You can track your top performing keywords using some tools like SEMRush, Ahref etc.

I don't know of any "free" rack tracking tools that are reliable but there are plenty of cloudbased and/or software tracking available, whether that be SEMrush, ahrefs, seo powersuite.

There are plenty of options, just not many which are free.

Yes you can track in analytics and webmaster as well.
