Leaving after new ownership

What do you think of members who leave after the sale of a forum? Are they true members, or members who are just friends with the previous owner, and then you follow them to their new project(s)?

Well, they might join the forum for the sole reason of the owner, not because they like the forum. I honestly don't care if they leave, because that just means they were never really a dedicated member to the forum.

A 100 member online forum went to 10-15 members online after being sold. This happen to be the one I ran, I would say thats a lot of undedicated members.

How? If they simply jump ship when the owner does, they're dedicated to the owner not the forum.
