Long Domain

A friend of mine has told me that my domain…..colinwallacephotography…..is too long.

Is he right?

Length isn't something you really need to consider unless its really long and/or you have a specific need to rebrand.

For example if you were to rebrand to something such as :RailwayPhotography.co.uk

Would be more descriptive of your target, but at the same time it wouldnt be much shorter than your current domain. Photography niches typically do have longer domains because of what they respresent.

It is a little more on the long site. This isn't a problem in terms of SEO (as far as I know), the only issue you might run into is that people will find it hard to remember. A simpler but succinct URL sticks in people's minds better. However, I don't see a HUGE problem with your domain.
