One of the hardest parts for a forum owner is actually starting it up! So in my guide I will teach you how to do it.
Getting their forum started is one the biggest problems an administrator will ever come across. Many struggle meaning they never bring their forum to success. So here I am to tell you how to get a forum started.
1) Don’t Underestimate The Power Of Promotion Forums
Promotion forums are a very very useful tool. Some people think they should just make a topic advertising their forum and that’s it nothing more to get from the site. But that is very very wrong. Most promotion forums offer services like packages which get your forum posts. Reviews that will help you find your forums pro’s and con’s. Some promotion forums even offer free ad space which is simply great! If your thinking okay yeah still not much well read on. Most promotion forums offer exchangements and exchangements are damn useful things! You can get a good 100 posts a day just from 10/10 exchangements! Yes, that does mean you’ll have to make 100 posts but who said it would be easy to start a forum? If you find a promotion forum you like don’t just use it to do those things. You should become active and become a loyal member meaning you will get more ad views and also you will have forum credits which means you can pay people forum credits to post on your forum!

2)Don’t Think Affiliations Are Just An Advertisement
Affiliations are very important. Active members of forums will often click the affiliate sites and sign up! You can get a whole load of traffic from affiliating with people. Also, affiliating is really simple you add an advertisement to your site they do the same on theirs and then bang your going to get a little boost of traffic. You don’t even have to put affiliates on your front page. You could make a whole page for affiliates to go on! The more sites you affiliate with the better. Also some people will only affiliate with sites with a similar genre but I think that’s stupid. Want to know why? Because a lot of members of that forum may be interested in other types of forums and if they like the forum they are at they won’t bother with similar forums. So I suggest you get out there and use your forum and other forums to get affiliates!
3) Social Networks Are VERY VERY Effective
With the growth of social networks comes a new tool for forum owners! Social networks can generate a lot of traffic. It’s not so easy to get people to register but you’ll get a lot of traffic. If you have a facebook invite all of your friends to come and make a group for your site to get even more exposure! Now for twitter, well that is the best of all social networks for promoting. So I suggest you make a twitter and get advertising. This gets your site a lot of views! It has often broke the who is online record for my site. Also to get more followers use: http://twiends.com/?=stevenkippax . You follow get credits which you can use to get people to follow you! Got me a good 1k followers at one point! Trade follows with people so you can keep getting more followers and when your twitter has 1k+ followers getting clicks is very easy. But a problem you come across is people see the link and decide they don’t want to click it so use http://tinyurl.com/ so people don’t know what they are clicking meaning you have more clicks! So I suggest you go and use those wonderful social networks even if you don’t like them. Use them!
4) Living In A Google Wonderland
Google is the worlds most popular website and carries a lot of helpful features. To start with it’s a search engine so straight away your on google! But when your site is new your never ever going to be a high rank without doing anything. So if you have cash I highly suggest to use adwords which gives you a huge amount of views! Use all the google webmaster tools that will help you. So go to google now.
5) Search Engine Optimization, Now Your Talking!
Now I just talked about google but now I am talking about search engine optimization which is very important if you want high rankings on google, yahoo, bing so on. Go and search google for ‘ submit your site to search engines for Free ‘ and submit your site to as many of those as you can and you’ll start to see higher rankings on the search engines and ultimately more registers and traffic. Keep searching for more SEO tools as you have never used every SEO tool! You should try to find the best keywords for your site to get high rankings quick! Optimize your title and meta tags to get better results!
