Managing a webstore

I'm coming back into affiliate marketing after spending three years neglecting my website. I have an online affiliate store that needs to be brought up to date. To populate the store I use product feeds and load them into a database. I retrieve the products using php scripts. This means I can design the store pages myself and I have complete control. It is a lot of work to run something like this as the products change every few days. It means you're constantly downloading new product feeds and loading them into the database in a way that can be used for the store. I was wondering if there's an easier way to run an online web store for affilaite marketing or whether it might be best just to ditch the store and concentrate on putting affiliate links into the content of the website. I could disable the store for the time being if necessary in order to build the website up again. I can't seem to find any courses or online help for this. Most of the courses are for complete newbies.

As mentioned by Deejay, they need to give you FTP access. If they have no idea how to do that then you will need to find out who their hosting is through and look up the information for them. You will then need a FTP Client like Filezilla (that is what I use) to download the website. You should be able to work on a Static website then. If it is a website powered by Wordpress or something similar, then that is much more complicated to do on your own computer. After you have finished the modifications, you will need to upload the whole website back to their hosting account through FTP again.
