I wonder if anyone can offer some advice. I have a local site for counselling services. I have pages for general problems like couples counselling, depression, anxiety, addiction. I also have another site which I have a partner on but the partnership isn't working out. The second site is about rehab and detox. It's a national site and has local pages for the counties. Both sites are hosted on WordPress. I'm wondering if merging the content might negatively impact my counselling website or vice versa.

So your thinking of merging the second site with the first ?

If so does the info on the second site fit well with what you offer ?

If both sites have potential to bring in custom, I'd personally be tempted to leave them as they are, one with a focus on local landing pages and the other without.

The reason I'd say that is because I have no idea of the quality of either site, local landing pages in particular need to be of a certain quality to be useful, so merging the sites if the quality isnt there could have a negative impact.

If however the local landing pages are great quality, offer value and most importantly are totally unique to each other and not the same slightly edited text on each, then a merge maybe viable.
