Offline Advertising for Online Marketing!

The internet is cluttered with spam, useless back-links, and repetitive information. If you're a freelancer like I am, you've come to realize that you're chances of landing a gig on a freelance work site are next to none. I've began to market my design / writing services offline, to local businesses that run websites, and through gigs listed on local job boards.

Offline marketing would work for almost any way you can make money online. Some great methods for offline marketing include : business cards, flyers, banners, word-of-mouth, stickers, etc.

I agree, I do almost all of my marketing online, but it always helps to have a business card. It's great for making a good first impression on potential clients. I've gotten a few projects from events that weren't even business related, so you never know when it will come in handy.
