Hi all
I'm considering appending a querystring parameter to a number of my internal links so I can track user paths more accurately. The parameters would not affect the content of the pages and there would likely be a number of different parameters pointing to the same page.
Example:
From menu > http s://mysite.com/page.htm?t=Menu
From home page: http s://mysite.com/page.htm?t=Home
Each page has a canonical which does not include any parameters, so I am wondering if with all that said Google will consider each iteration of the URL with each different parameter as separate pages (ie duplicate content)?
If you need any more info please let me know.
Thanks
Ben
