rating snippet not showing on homepage and some other pages

Hi guys, new to this forum I was wondering if anyone could shed some light why the rating snippets are not showing on some of the pages and the homepage doesnt have the stars either in the search

Welcome to the forum,

Typically Rich Snippet Annotations are not accepted by Google on the homepage, ratings in particular. This is in their TOS : https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/review#review-snippet-guidelines

Although i realise lots of people do it, you should also try and only place the review snippets on pages which have a product and/or service which the review is associated.

Sitewide aggregated reviews often trigger manual reviews and snippet abuse in my experience, especially if there are very few real reviews found on trusted sources as it hints at the stats maybe madeup.

Thank you for your reply. I'm using a plugin from Innovareviews and it will show up on all pages like an online chat widget. Ive done something similar on previous company site which had around 3 thousand pages and there were no issues as far as I know. So not sure why the inconsistency this time. But have to say Ive only indexed the site a week ago or so

Have you checked your ratings are actually being seen on the pages you are missing ?

That page was indexed on the 3rd ( 3 days ago ), without any kind of review/chat module in sight so I would assume that would be the reason the stars are not showing in that particular instance.

Oops yes now it makes sense. I had to temporarily disable the plugin and havent reactivated it yet, Problem solved! Thanks for your help

late to the party here bit structured data is the key. there are so many elements in a page that can be marked up.
