Search Console performance drop / CLS problem

I got a performance decline according to the google search console graph (however number of people entering from Google does not seem to have dropped according to my smarterstats server)

It coincides with a CLS issue

I checked a few of the pages, the 'lab data' for the page had a CLS of 0.04, so the field data is based off many users and here 26% had 'poor CLS'

Is anyone familiar with this, can shine any light?
