Question Search result moving between SERP page switches

Hello,

My company's organic search result for our most popular term seems to move between SERP page switches on Google.

For example, sometimes when I Google the term and go to the second page (where we usually rank), our site doesn't show. However, when I go to the third page and then back to the second page again, the result suddenly appears!

I know the SERPs fluctuate between searches but I haven't seen this kind of behaviour in the same search before.

Does anyone know why this might be?

Clear your cookies before rank tracking. The same thing happening with me as well.

Hi Noah! I always check rankings in an incognito window so cookies shouldn't be having an effect.

If you have proxy then use it for county wide results checking.
