SEO - Anything new?

Hi

My competition is getting better monthly. I am still leading but they are getting closed. I had a look at what they do but i cant see anything magic. They don`t do a lot of postings, few links, little social media presence, average websites. There must be something new within the SEO market that i missed. Any ideas?

I am only publishing premium quality articles. We will see how things are changing. I will attack the market with over 50k words - 50 top class articles

But there are few companies ranking well with 0 articles, very few links and no blog postings at all. I did a Semrush search on one of them and the results were terrible.

As others have mentioned, if you are uploading and submitting, or re-submitting good quality content to Google it is highly unlikely that you should feel that threatened.
I am assuming that you are Dublin Floor Sanding. It looks like you have a lot of competition. In a situation like that I would be looking to make sure that all of the SEO basics have been covered off first.
As an example you are not using your Google My Business profile to best effect. There are gaps. The description is weak. Addressing this alone will help maintain your top-of-the-stack status.
