Site move advice

New Member
Hi I'm looking for some advice.

I own and have recently acquired and 301 redirected to the .com. Would you recommend I use the as the main domain as it has the majority of backlinks or will my serps start to increase for the .com in the future?

Was the move to the .com because you are starting to target international markets or was it a branding decision?

If your primary traffic/market is from the UK and you have no need for international/US based visitors then I would have stuck with the domain which had the authority.

If you are looking to gain more international traffic then redirecting the will be fine, although I would recommend over time trying to turn those redirected backlinks into direct backlinks, reaching out to the site owners and asking them to change it to the .com.

That said, you've made the jump now....I think if its done, i'd personally keep it that way unless there is some adverse effects you've noticed as a result of the move ?
