Sponsored post is when you pay to have a post done which is clearly an advert, guest post is posting as a guest on another site. But the two are often confused especially when people charge for submitting a guest post.

guest posts are usually harder to get because the quality of the content has to be better.

like the person said a lot of sites charge for guest posts which makes them into sponsored posts.

the best way to get real guest posts is to find websites in your niche and contact the people who are writing the blogs.

This may take some research for example you can use Hunter to find hidden emails on sites

This way you can get right to the people who are in charge of writing blog posts or publishing them.

You may also want to type the authors names into Google and see if they have a website or twitter that you can contact them on.

If they are writing for one website in your niche - there is a good chance they write for similar websites too, so this can roll into multiple guest posts from an author the websites trust and know.

Another tip to keep in mind is journalists are always looking for an angle, and if they are writing about your niche they need quotes or information to help them write their story.

Search for
#prrequests
#journorequests

on twitter and you may find something interesting.

Guest Blog

Guest blogging or also known as Guest Post is a practice of posting your blogs on other bloggers' pages or vice-versa. This is a practicing of creating a relationship with each other in the world of blogging. This helps both parties as to the person who is guest posting get a backlink which increases the authority and trust score and the webmaster gets a content for his readers which increases the traffic on the page.

Sponsored Blog

To be very straight and simple sponsored blogs are paid blogs. These types of blogs may include written pieces like a product review article. Sponsored blogs are an option is chosen by product owners. They pay blogger money to write a blog about their product on his or her page which acts as a promotion and the blogger gets money in return for his art of writing.

In the beginning you'll probably get guest post requests from blogs that are smaller than yours, but as you rise in the ranks you can find some big fish that want to rise to the top together. Rubbing shoulders with these folks will secure your blog's place in search rankings, which only means more readers.
