Toxic Backlinks (SEMrush) Quick Question

Do toxic backlinks have negative effects on SEO? (looking at SEMrush)

Let's say we disavow 40 Highly toxic Domains linking to us and 40 orange domains, will these have negative or positive effects on our SEO?

We are losing toxic domain which is great, but we are also losing back links>>??

Are we likely to see more traffic or less traffic?
