Hello everybody
I have a website aaaautospa.com and it is a local car wash business in Toronto, Canada. I've been doing SEO for this website for about 2 year now.
It is ranked for many car wash related keywords on the first page of Google for different regions close to Toronto but for my main keyword which is "car detailing toronto"( it was number 3 to 5) and now the ranking started decreasing and now it is on page 2 number 15.
Same thing with "car detailing north york" it was top of first page and now its almost number 10 or 11.

I'd like to know what is the specific cause and solution to this issue as I tried analyzing it with multiple SEO tools and nothing seems to be the issue.
I have access to SEMRUSh, Ahrefs,MOZ and almost all of the SEO tools.

Please kindly email me your opinion and if you know the solution.

Thank you

Hey, I did a little research on car washes and auto detailing around Toronto, and it looks like your main competition right now are:
  • Auto Detailing Pro - Mobile Car Detailing in Toronto
  • Ecowash Waterless Car Wash & Detailing
  • Toronto Superior Detailing & Rustproofing
  • Dave's Ultimate Auto Detailing
  • Express Car Wash & Detail Centre
And a few more. Are any of these new, or changed their name recently? For instance, Auto Detailing Pro has really stuffed that Detailing term in there, having it twice in the title. There might be nothing wrong with your own GMB listing or website -- it's the competition that might be getting stronger.

Proximity also seems to be weighted really heavily in your business category. I did a ranking scan in Persuaded.io on a car wash with an address (it only works with GMB listings that have an address) and it looks like rankings fall off fast -- so if a new competitor has popped up nearby, it can impact traffic significantly.

My first instinct would be to check the competition for anything new, especially if they have really overstuffed their GMB name with keywords. If that's the case (their legal business name doesn't have these keywords), I'd first try Suggest an Edit. If that doesn't take after a few days, you can also try the Redressal Form to report keyword stuffing.

Title keywords have a big impact on local SEO, so successfully removing a keyword from a competitor's name can be very effective.

Are you still building regular backlinks and publishing fresh content on the web? As others have mentioned, your competitors might have been sick of seeing you at the top for so long that they brought in their own SEO company.

Instead of looking at what is wrong with your website, have a look at what they are doing right.

Might also be worth creating a Google Business Listing using some of the keywords you have mentioned.

Best of luck to you.

A lot of valuable information shared to improve the ranking of the website. I hope it will help us to raise our own site traffic and ranking instantly.

Hi, as I have checked that your website is not mobile-friendly. So check in analytics that from which devices maximum traffic you are getting for the keyword "car detailing toronto". Check your page load speed also.
