Page Rank (PR) – The Page Rank or also known as PR is a Google algorithm developed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin which acts as a metric for measuring the performance of the webpages submitted by the webmasters to the search engines. If we don’t go into the technical details we can say that Page Rank (PR) is the algorithm is used by Google to measure the importance of a website by counting the number of quality of links leading to that website.

Search Engine Page Results (SERPs) – The response to any query(keyword) is generated as output in form links which are known as pages and to be more specific they are known as Search Engine Result Pages(SERPs). These results include both organic search as well as paid results (in the form of advertisements).
The results in the SERPs hold some position and these are not just random positions. The positions are decided by the search engines using some algorithms and Page Rank is one of them.

So now if talking what is the difference between two we can say that PR is the methodology adopted or used by Google to position a link and display them according to rank and the place where this output is provided by the search engine is known as SERPs.

I hope the answer was satisfying and helpful enough to give a solution to your doubt. :)

A search engine results page (SERP) is the page displayed by a search engine in response to a query by a searcher. The main component of the SERP is the listing of results that are returned by the search engine in response to a keyword query.

Page rank is no more important as Google has stopped updating their page rank algorithm.
