Where is my problem

We are a few months post launch of our website (old domain new urls) and we have quite alot of work to do including some meta data updating, backlink profile and internal linking structure but we seem to have a problem with a certain type of page which shows the product search on website (im new here so im not allowed to post the link!)

These show our product search results and we cant tell how readable they are because both Yoast and Semrush cant read the H2 tags. I know this is sometimes not a problem but dont know if this is part of our issue?

Our lovely web developers also developed another site with exactly the same layout - they have a very high DA but dont rank that highly for the key terms on their collection pages as well.

Both of us have no problems with our rankings for our home page.

It sounds like you’re dealing with some structural SEO challenges that might be affecting your rankings for product search and collection pages. If Yoast and Semrush are unable to read the H2 tags, it could be due to how these tags are implemented—perhaps they are dynamically generated via JavaScript or not rendered in the static HTML that crawlers see. While this isn't inherently problematic, it can make it harder for search engines to understand the content and context of those pages, which may impact rankings.

To address this, consider conducting a rendering test using tools like Google Search Console’s URL Inspection Tool or browser-based crawlers that simulate search engine behavior. Ensure that key elements, like H2 tags and metadata, are accessible to crawlers. Additionally, review your schema markup to enhance readability and provide structured data for better search engine understanding. The issue with a similar site could suggest that this layout needs SEO-specific adjustments, like better internal linking and optimized metadata. With a high DA but low collection page rankings, targeting technical improvements and content relevance should help.

Overall, it seems like a technical issue and insufficient page optimization. These are my guesses. Have you tried running any technical audits? For old domains, I use Rush Analytics Audit tool, but you can use any similar service.
It would also be good to check how Google sees your pages using the mobile-friendly test.
