Fresh Link Building

Good Afternoon All,

I am still new to link building and was hoping others may be able to help with suggestions and guides. I have begun helping a new website (1 year old) with its on-page SEO and will soon be moving onto more technical SEO. However, i want to begin working on a link building for the website.

At the moment the website only has 31 referring domains/links. I was wondering, what is everyone go to starting point for link building? Where do you all get your first few links from and where do you move on to after that? My client is a health practitioner if that makes a difference?

Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated! :)

Thanks,
Dale

Hi Dale,

You mention "helping" and then mention "My client", which is it ? If this is for a client and you have no experience with link building, then I would highly recommend not doing it at all.

You should gain experience, research and work on web properties which you are not exposing to risk until you understand that you are doing, link building for a business and offering SEO services when you have little to no experience is potentially damaging to the business long term, not only that but you could be liable if anything goes wrong.

Hello,

Ah ok thanks for the advise, ive got experience with most elements of SEO besides link building and i have begun working on other areas but felt like on the sides i should be continuously working on building links. Its an area i have never needed to get involved in until now. Thanks for your advice i will spend some time research and learning first before diving head first!
