How Do You Feel About Almighty Google Taking Over?

Honestly, if Google is taking over everything, which it does seem like they are, I wouldn't really mind. I have been, and always will be a gigantic fan of Google and all of the wonderful services that they have to offer. I own some of their products as well, such as their Chromebook, which works brilliantly, straight out of the box! On my smartphone, the only browser that I use, is Google! In my opinion, Google makes our lives so much easier, and if they are trying to take over, than I am perfectly fine with that.

I think it's kinda scary.

They have many great products and were pioneers in many ways but when you take a closer look at it they meanwhile managed to know more about you than you know about yourself. We depend on them and that's never a good thing.

I try to find alternatives but it's hard to find when you want to have something of the same quality.

Big companies rule the world, Microsoft had monopoly and kind of sort of still does, Google is going the same way, it is possibly not fair for the smaller companies, they just buy out the competition, making some millionaires along the way. I think it's business, money is the world's religion, not much we can do about it.

Google is slowly and surely taking over all aspects of our lives, and I'm not sure whether to be happy about it or not, but I do understand that it is necessary since it would hardly be advisable for anything or anyone to stagnate, let alone one of the biggest companies on Earth. Google products are now used for pretty much everything including our browsers, phones, and soon possibly also our internet connection itself. How do you feel about this?

Google has the resources to do what it likes in terms of producing accurate search results. The idea is to produce highly reliable results through organic search. It means it must have access to infinite sources of information.

By extending its reach over different forms of media, it is extending it's reach slowly but surely. It is only a matter of time before Google will offer free television and internet speeds over 20 mbps at very cheap rates or free in some instances just to make more ad income. Marketers will find it difficult to beat the system, but users will benefit greatly.

I think that if Google does take over everything, it would be a good thing. Google would work towards bringing everything together which would make us better connected with virtually everything.

I'm hoping to see a competitor vying for the number one spot. I mean, for me competition is good because it helps drive innovation (not saying that Google is not innovative). A healthy competition can help even things a bit so that there is no monopoly.

I too remember the old days when Google was just a search engine. It is amazing how quickly they have become a technology empire.

I think Google will be dominant in those areas in which they are delivering a superior product or service. I use the Chrome browser, for instance, although Firefox is still my favorite so I switch back and forth between them. I appreciate the features of the Android smart phone and I am thankful that is so inexpensive relative to the iPhone. I look forward to more innovations.

On the other hand, not everything has been a success. Google + has not really taken off; it's certainly no challenge to other social media such as Facebook or Twitter. I am on Google + somewhat out of necessity but I don't feel it's really enhancing my life in any way.

Who knows what the future may hold? I still remember when AOL was so dominant. These days, they are not at all.

I've noticed that too. I hate the feeling that sometimes online businesses are at the mercy of Google and whem they chage something or update something, everything goes haywire. I have to admit though that their services are good but they are monopolizing everything and setting the standard for everything that people have no choice to go with it because they are the biggest. I wish another giant would come along so people can at least have a choice.

I'm not sure how to feel about it either. Super large corporations don't always try to take over everything, and they're usually maligned by anti-business types and socialists, but I think that there are some corporations that really want to do good things for society. But there are those corporations that you have to keep your eye on.

Sure google. Go for it.

I don't think that Google is going to be in this dominant position for very long. Other companies like Microsoft and Yahoo are catching up with Goggle really fast. They have to be wary pf their competition to stay afloat and that's a good thing for all of us which means that we will get top-notch service.

They're a very good company. They deserve to be on top. There products are very good, and they have been producing consistently good for some time now. I am especially happy with Gmail. There are so many people I now that are changing their email account to Gmail because it is just such a well-organized and efficient email account. I can easily search for the emails that I want in the search box, which life saver for me and saves me the time and effort of looking through the each and every email to find what I want. I had so issues with one of my Gmail account, and it's now up and running. I had a Hotmail account once and a virus corrupted it, and I lost everything. I'm also very happy with Google Chrome. Google is not just popular company which is slowly taking over the internet, but they're a company that understands what the consumers want.

They are in the business. So they have to be a good company to stay on top as it's not a monopoly. Companies like Yahoo and Microsoft are lurking around to take Google's position.

There are always other ways to do something the relying on Google. There will be other companies trying to make better and cheaper products to beat Google.

For my online business I will try to never rely on Google for traffic. I prefer to use free methods and paid methods that will guarantee me traffic and not leave it to chance with Google and its algorithm changes.

Google has only ten spots for a particular keyword. If your content fits in in one of them, you will get some love, otherwise you won't get any traffic.
