What are the most privacy tools available out there. We all know that we are tracked by websites and I was wondering what other members use to protect themselves and how safe these tracking tools actually are.

There are some excellent privacy tools at peerblock.com and they are all free. They will block much of the tracking. The FAQ, user guide and forums are all helpful for getting started.

You might also want to consider alternative search engines that don't track the way Google does. DuckDuckGo is a good one.

PageWash is good for anonymous surfing in general.

I've never heard of PageWash, I'll have to look into it. I do, however, use DuckDuckGo from time to time as my search engine.
