What internet marketing products/membership sites did you actually find useful?

I bought a lot of internet marketing stuff and most of it (about 90%) wasn’t of any use to me. Some products are just sitting there on my computer and will probably never be used. Among the sea of bad or useless products there were also some that I actually found to be of use. The best money I spent was on TKA (The Keyword Academy). I learned the basics there and expanded my view. There are others but this is what helped me the most.

What about you? What would you recommend that was actually of any use to you?

Personal patience has been my best investment so far. I haven't bothered with any paid e-books, or services to get me started on my internet marketing career. My main resource throughout the years has been blackhatworld, which is a great hub of information for internet marketing entrepreneurs. I've probably learned more on that site than I would of with any paid program.

I agree with beachdesign, I'd choose to find free resources and education first way before I'd pay for it. It's not that I don't think these ebooks are worth it, but I just prefer to keep as much capital as I can for myself instead of making expenses right out.

The best investment I would have to say I made was a membership by a man called Chris Farrell. He really teaches the basics on how to create a profitable business A-B. He is very active in his membership -- and very helpful.

As for future products -- I will buy ones that are only of benefit to me, like how to increase traffic a certain way.

Warrior Forum charges $10 for lifetime membership. I think that is the only paid membership site I am currently active in.

There may used to have been useful internet marketing products or memberships in the distant past, when people were less eager to hype the smallest bit of useful information up and lace it with so much sales copy you can never tell the difference between a legitimate item and a scam. Nowadays, though, it is all rehashed information that can be found with a Google search with a twist that rarely works. If not, then it is some extraneous gambling system with forex, binary options, or online casinos, PPC, so on, so forth.

The only real wealth of knowledge in the Internet Marketing world is in small clique forum discussions like those found on Warrior Forum where beginner, intermediary, and advanced money makers group together to share and unearth quality information, fed up with all of the garbage out there.

I browsed Warrior Forum in the past before because I heard their eBooks were great, but after researching and reading some of their eBooks, they're really not that great. I'm not sure if there's anything else other than eBooks, and discussions on SEO, but most of them are filled with fluff and plagiarized content like a lot of eBooks. There are some that are useful, but most of the books there are screaming "buy me so I can steal your money!!". How often do you see someone sharing their $10000 overnight method in their eBook?

In my opinion hardly any of them ebooks that offer to get you millions of hits or offer apparently "Great web marketing" work. Think about it, why would they be selling a trick or ways to do something if they could so easily do it themself and make loads of money marketing their websites?

However, you can learn quite a lot about web marketing online so all I do to learn things like SEO is search around the web! Time is the key to success!

I would say ebooks, I found many good ways to earn money by e-booking.

Almost everything I have ever paid for has been complete fluff. However there are some really good forums
(including here) that you can glean a ton of information from, and it's absolutely free! It's far better to engage
in some dialogue and use the search feature than just going off of decent sales copy and hype.

I also like The Keyword Academy. I signed up for their free 30 days offer. It was great. I enjoyed some of the webinars. I was going to sign up for regular membership, but at that time they were increasing the monthly fee, so I didn't.

@ seosan7, TKA was a great resource until I reached a certain level of knowledge. I left because they started giving almost all their attention to complete beginners and forgetting others who were at a different stage. I think it all started falling apart after Court left TKA and Mark was left alone.

@ sardonicone, it is true that you can find a lot of useful things on forums as this one, yet when you are a complete beginner you need a map. This map is usually not present in such forums or it’s not made very well and most get lost along the way. When a membership site comes along and shows you the exact steps you need to take and keeps you focused along that path, it’s worth the money. Not to say that you can’t become successful by only following free advice from forums, it’s just going to take more time.

Another very helpful site was Grizzly’s make money online site on blogspot. Some people might remember it. It was really awesome and helped me a lot! It’s not up anymore but you can find Grizz here and there and still get some nuggets of wisdom. grizzlybrears.com/ is one of this sites if anyone’s interested.

I haven't found any of these membership schemes or products helpful, I've found far more success by joining forums in the niche I'm interested in reading what more experienced people in that field have to say.
