I was curious about what are the best places on your forum or blog to place ads. But what are some of the best places to put ads without annoying your membership or visitors?

On xenforo, the sidebar is a great area to locate a few small ad blocks, like we have here on WD :)

I also think the content area is a good place to place ads, but it can be rather irritating for your visitors.
But, we all have to make sacrifices at some point. Forum admins sometimes have to chose between profit and community being pleased and not irritated :D

Awesome
I add them to the sidebar and underneath topics in mos of my forums, I don't like annoying my community with ads haha

I think either below the bottom navigation (that shows where you are at) or in the sidebar would be great places. They get seen, but they aren't too annoying to members either. I love that Xenforo has so many places to put ads, and it's rather easy to edit too. :)

I agree, having an extended footer is great for adspace :D
